Today’s recipe is very much special and close to me as chickpea is one of my favorite lentils. Chana Masala, also known as chickpea curry, is a beloved Indian dish that has gained popularity worldwide. Bursting with aromatic spices and tangy flavors, this vegetarian recipe is not only delicious but also packed with plant-based protein and essential nutrients.

About the recipe

– 3 tbsp. olive oil – 1 bay leaf – 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds – 1 tsp chopped garlic – green chilies – 1/4 cup onion thinly sliced – ginger julienne – 1/4 tsp salt

Ingredients

– 1/2 tsp turmeric – 1/2 tbsp. red chili powder – 1 tbsp tomato paste – 2 cans chickpeas – salt – chana masala

Step-1 To make this recipe we’ll first take a pan and pre-heat it a little add olive oil to it and let the oil heat a little.

Step-2 Add a bay leaf followed by cumin seeds and will wait until they start to sizzle then add chopped garlic, green chilies, and onions. Give them a mix.

The steps

Step-3 Add ginger julienne, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, and tomato paste. Now mix all the ingredients together very nicely until mixed properly.

Step-4 Add green bell pepper give it a quick mix and add garam masala. mix it well.

Step- 5 Time to add our boiled chickpeas give it a very nice mix so that all the flavors get in it, add salt to it mix it cover the pan, and let them cook for a while.

Step-6 After a minute open the lid check if they are properly cooked or not and will add chana masala on top. Mix it well.

Our white chana sabzi is ready.
