Diwali Sweets: Besan Ladoo Recipe

Besan ladoo is a type of Indian dessert that is made from a gram flour. It's perfect option for diwali occassion. Besan Ladoo is a ball shaped sweet that has a crunchy &  crumbly texture. So, let's started.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE RECIPE

2.5 cup Gram Flour

1 cup Butter

1.75 cup Sugar

0.25 tsp Cardamom Optional

1 tsp Semolina

Steps For Preparation

Dry roast the gram flour and semolina on low medium heat for a minute.

Add 3/4 cup of melted butter and mix well.

Keep on stirring the mixture to roast it. Roast it for 15 minutes.

Then add 2 tbsp of butter. Keep roasting until the color starts to change & the mixture starts to give an aroma.

Once you start to see the glossy shine of the butter & a beautiful golden color.

Add cardamom powder to it & give it a nice mix

Add 1 tbsp of butter. Mix it & turn off the heat.

Add sugar & mix it. Once you mix the sugar, turn on the heat on low again & roast it for 1-2 minutes.

06.

Turn off the heat & so that the mixture can start to cool down.

07.

Start making the ladoo’s. Take 2 spoonful of mixture in your palm.

08.

Press and roll it so it starts to form a shape of a ball.

09.

Garnish with your choice of dry fruits. Serve these as is.
