How to Make the Best Vegan Pizza?

Here are a few tips to make the Best Vegan Pizza Ever:

  • You must always go for the pizza stone instead of the baking sheet for the best results. A pizza stone helps you make the most delicious pizza, which is better than any restaurant. I recommend a Round or Rectangular Ceramic Chef Pizza Stone, available on Amazon.
  • Brush the crust of your Vegan Pizza with olive oil before baking to make it nice and golden brown.
  • Make sure to bring your dough to room temperature before using it for your pizza. It helps you get a great crust.
  • Do not add more than 1 cup of toppings to your pizza, or it won’t support it.

What are the Best Vegan Pizza Toppings?

Even a vegan diet deserves a pizza, so here are a few other vegan options other than the Ricotta Cheese for you:

  •  Vegan Pepperoni
  • Roasted tomatoes, red peppers, broccoli, or any of your favorite vegetable
  • Vegan Parmesan Cheese
  • Top it with pickled jalapenos
  • Add dollops of Pesto or Thyme Leaves instead of Basil Leaves.

Benefits of Vegan Ricotta Cheese

It is a popular Italian ingredient used in desserts and main courses alike. Ricotta Cheese is made from milk of cow, sheep, or goat and has a creamy, soft texture and neutral flavor, which makes it perfect for both savory and sweet recipes- pasta and pies. Below are a few benefits of this versatile cheese:

  • Vegan Ricotta Cheese is a great source of several essential nutrients like protein, calcium, selenium, phosphorus, and other nutrients.
  • The richness of protein helps in growth and development, muscle strength, immunity, and more.
  • It is loaded with calcium which plays an integral role in the formation and metabolism of bones.
  • This delicious cheese is relatively low on calories and even helps manage blood pressure levels.

You could enjoy your Vegan Pizza with a salad like Caesar Salad with some roasted chickpeas or Kale Salad. Make sure to sprinkle fresh Italian herbs to enhance the flavor. Miss the cheesy pizza? Well, you can also top your pizza with some Vegan Mozzarella. Enjoy it with wine, beer, lemonade, iced tea, or any other drink you like. But to be honest, Pizza in itself is so divine. • Steps for Making Pizza Dough
  • Take a bowl and add all Purpose Flour, salt, and instant yeast. Mix it well together.
  • Add warm water and use your hands to knead everything into a soft dough cover the dough with a towel and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Steps for Preparation
  • Cut two pieces of parchment paper, roughly matching the shape and size of your pizza stone, and set it aside.
  • Put the pizza stone at the base of your oven and turn on your oven to 465°F (240°C). Let it preheat with the pizza stone inside for 1 hour.
  • Add tomato paste, extra virgin olive oil, oregano, salt, and black pepper to a bowl. Mix it well to create your Vegan Pizza Sauce!
  • Steps for Cooking
  • When your dough has risen after 1 hour, gently divide it into two pieces.
  • Dust one piece of parchment paper with flour and then place one of the two balls of dough on the top of the parchment paper.
  • Roll the dough with a rolling pin to the edges of the parchment paper. Keep adding some flour to your rolling pin, so it does not stick.
  • Now add half of your pizza sauce on top of the rolled-out pizza base and spread it nicely using the back of the spoon.
  • Add chunks of the Vegan Ricotta on top of your pizza.
  • Carefully slide your pizza along with the parchment paper underneath on a wooden board and then onto the hot pizza stone in the oven after it has been heated for 1 hour.
  • Close the oven and let the pizza bake for about 8 minutes.
  • Open the oven after the beep. Take a spatula to gently lift the pizza and check if it is lightly brown from below and crispy on the edges.
  • Slide back your cooked pizza and the parchment paper from the pizza stone onto your wooden board.
  • Now add some fresh basil leaves and sprinkle some black pepper and dried basil leaves on top of the pizza. Cut it into slices and your divine Thin Crust Vegan Pizza is now ready to serve!
