How to make the Best Onion Garlic Chutney at Home?
Now that you know how to make garlic onion chutney by effortlessly blending your ingredients, I have some tricks and tips for making chutney at home so that you can achieve a fantastic flavor with the perfect balance of tanginess and spiciness.
- Do not forget to add tamarind, which balances out the spicy taste of garlic and brings the sour(tangy) element to the chutney.
- You can use lemon juice or ½ tomato instead of tamarind, but the flavor would vary slightly.
- Feel free to adjust the spicy level per your liking by adding more or fewer chilies. The Kashmiri red chilies are not spicy, but they give the chutney a nice orange color.
- Use any type of onion for the recipe, but I prefer small red onions because it brings a pleasant taste.
- Make sure to use the right amount of water or the flavors dilute. You should use less water for a thick chutney and more for medium-thin consistency.
