A chutney is a spread in the cuisines of the Indian subcontinent. Chutneys are made in a wide variety of forms, such as tomato relish, a ground peanut garnish, yogurt, or curd, etc. It is used to provide balance to an array of dishes or highlight a specific flavor profile.

About Garlic Cilantro Chutney recipe

Garlic Cilantro Chutney is a flavorful condiment or chutney made with garlic, cilantro, and some Indian spices. This chutney is one of my favorites and I often make it at home. It can be served with pretty much anything and everything. I like to serve this chutney with my favorite butter masala dosa, masala papad, Aloo pyaz pakora, paneer bread roll. There are many ways you can make this chutney the proportion of garlic, cilantro, green chili, onions may be adjusted as per taste or you can add any more ingredient as per your preferred taste. Some like it mildly spiced, whereas others like it spicier, add green chili as per taste.

The great thing about chutneys is that we can store them in an airtight container for a good amount of 1 or 2 weeks depending upon the atmosphere and weather you live in. Chutneys and pickles are a must-have in an Indian family. Our meals are incomplete without these flavorful, tangy, sweet, and spicy chutneys and/or pickles.
