Shahi Tukda
Dessert
Dessert is a course that concludes our whole meal. In other words, dessert is a course that consists of sweet foods, and possibly a beverage such as liqueur or dessert wine. Dessert is also known as a meal that is used to “clear the table”. A dessert contains something such as fruit, pastry, or ice cream that we eat at the end of every meal.
About Shahi Tukda
Indian cuisine has many options for desserts. Shahi means royal and tukda means piece. So this recipe literally translates to a royal piece of dessert which was perfect to serve the kings and queens.
It’s a royal dessert straight from the culinary utopia of Hyderabad. Made by deep frying the bread, soaking it in sugar syrup, and then drizzling it with thick luscious rabdi, this Hyderabadi delight is one of the best yet easy to make Indian desserts. Here’s how to make it at home.
It is a favorite dessert to make during festivals like Ramadan, Eid, Holi, and Diwali.
A tip from my side is that if you like bread a bit soft then soak it in for about 15-20 seconds, and if you like it a little crispy then add it in for about 5-10 seconds according to your preference.
This is my way of making this heavenly delicious desert hope you all love it.
Do let me know in the comment section below your experience having it.
And if you have any suggestions for my upcoming videos let me know.
Serve it with kheer or any other dessert dish.
Enjoy.
