About Besan Ladoo
Besan Ladoos are traditional North Indian sweets usually in the shape of a ball. Besan Ladoos have been in North Indian households for centuries. These Ladoos are made with gram flour, butter, powdered sugar and cardamom (optional). I am adding semolina for a more crunchy experience when you bite into the ladoo. The traditional version of this ladoo is more soft than the version I am making.
Besan ladoos are made by slowly roasting gram flour in the butter until it turns golden in color. You can add different types of nuts and dry fruit such as cashews, almonds, pistachios, and raisins. Portions of this warm mixture are pressed down in the palm to the shape of balls.
Besan Ladoo is made in every corner of India with many variations. The traditional version of this ladoo need nothing more than gram flour, butter, sugar.
