It can be eaten both as a snack and as a breakfast too and that too with a stuffing of urad dal it tastes amazing. This recipe is very tummy-filling and can be cooked at every festival, special occasion, or weekend meal. This hot puffed puri is a versatile Indian bread that tastes delicious with almost any Indian Curry.

Puri Sabji is a North Indian breakfast dish where a spicy potato curry is served with piping hot deep-fried puffed up Indian bread ‘Puri’. In most North Indian homes, this hearty meal is served as a weekend breakfast.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Atta
  • 1.5 tsp Baking powder
  • Salt
  • 1/3 cup Yogurt
  • Warm water
  • oil
  • Urad dal
  • Ginger Chopped
  • Cilantro Roughly chopped
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Asafoetida
  • Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp ginger and green chilies crushed
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp red chili powder
  • Garam masala
  • 3 diced potatoes
  • water
  • Kasuri methi

Instructions
 

  • Preparations
    To make dough.
    -Add atta, baking powder, salt in a bowl.
    -Mix all the mixture well.
    -To it add yogurt, and warm water and make a nice dough of it.
    -Add some oil onto the dough and in the bowl so that it doesn't stick together.
    -Cover it with a wet cloth for a while.
    For making stuffing
    -Add urad dal, ginger, cilantro, green chilies, coriander powder, cumin seeds, salt, asafoetida, and red chili powder.
    -And blend everything together.
  • Cooking
    To make Aloo sabji
    -Add oil to the cooker.
    -To it add asafoetida, cumin seeds, coriander powder, ginger, and green chili.
    -Mix all the ingredients together.
    -To it add turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, potatoes, and water.
    -Mix all the ingredients nicely.
    -And let it cook for a while.
    -After a while add Kasuri methi to it and aloo ki sabji is ready.
    For making puries
    -Make small balls out of the dough.
    -Fill the balls with the stuffing.
    -And put the dough in a tortilla press to make puries.
    – Now we're going to deep fry the puries.
    – Stuffed puri is ready.
