Vada’s are an authentic south Indian savory snack food. There are many different names that are given to Vada are cutlets, dumplings, fritters, etc… This recipe is made in both style dry as well as in curry style some like it stuffed with vegetables, and some like to have made with lentils.

Ingredients required for making Sukha Masala Vada Recipe :

- 1 cup Urad dal
- 1/2 cup yellow dal
- 1-inch piece Ginger
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Dhaniya Powder
- 2 green chilies
- 1 Onion
- 1 Pinch Asafoetida
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1tsp Garam Masala
- Oil
Stepwise instructions with images of how to make Sukha Masala Vada recipe :

Step-1 Soak Urad dal and yellow dal overnight or 2 hrs in warm water, then drain all the excess water out of it and grind them together.

Step-2 Now in a grinder add dals to it and add Ginger, Cumin Seeds, and Dhaniya Powder. Now grind it all together.

Step-3 Once we have the grinded batter now will whisk it nicely with the hand mixer until it fluffs up.

Step-4 In a batter add Green chilies, Onions, Asafoetida, Cumin Seeds, and Garam Masala. Mix it all together nicely, our Batter is ready.

Step-5 Pre-heat oil in a pan to it add small scoops of our batter and let it fry on a medium flame.

Step-6 Fry them nicely until they turn crispy and golden in color.

Step-7 Now for the dressing of our Vada’s we’ll add Garam masala, Kashmiri Red Chili Powder, Dhaniya Powder, Salt, and Chat Masala. Our Sukha Masala Vada is ready.

Can Vadas be stored in a refrigerator?
Yes, Half-cooked Vada can be kept in a refrigerator for over 15 days to 30 days but one should keep in check the temperature of where you live and the temperature of the refrigerator, if it’s hot then it will be good till 15 days if the temperature is cold it will remain good for 30 days.
Does eating Vada increase weight?
Yes, it does increase weight as it is deep fried and any food that is fried is not considered healthy and good for our body and especially for people suffering from diabetes and heart-related problems, and if you are on a journey of losing weight then I would not recommend you to eat vada.
