Steps for making hot hibiscus tea recipe

Step-1 To make this hibiscus drink, take 2-3 flowers per cup of tea. I took 4-5 flowers to make 3 cups of tea. Remove the calyx or the green part from which the flower is attached to the plant.

Step-2: Before we start, make sure you either take fresh hibiscus flowers or those that are dried and fallen. I prefer the fallen ones, and you can choose accordingly.

Step-3 Also remove the stamen, the part from which the yellow seeds are attached. Wash the petals nicely under running water.

Step-4 Take a medium-sized saucepan, add 2 cups of water to it and let it boil first, and then we’ll add our petals and cinnamon stick to it.

Step-5 As they start coming to a rolling boil, we will cover the pan with a lid, turn off the heat, and let it sit for 5 minutes or until you see a nice color.

Step-6 Strain the tea using a tea strainer.

Step-7 Squeeze lemon juice to it and mix well. See how the color transforms into this amazingly beautiful color. Add honey or sugar if you wish to at this stage, and mix well as per your taste.
